The reason for this phenomenon is the ink that we use for the poster making. The Black light posters will glow with the help of the ink used upon it, by simply absorbing Ultraviolet light rays and discharging the same as visible light spectrum for our eyes. We call the Ultraviolet light as the black light and hence the name ‘Black light poster’. We can get this paint from all local hobby shops and today, we can find even pen type of gadgets that uses this ink are available for writing and drawing purposes.

We will need to choose the right type of brushes, scissors, picture model, stencils, permanent markers, poster paints, tape, glue and pencils with correct ‘H’ markings on them. The process of using the correct H pencils for the stencilling of images onto the black light poster will help in making them unique and lined in thin formats. After tracing the needed lines and stencilled images, darkening them with permanent markers will be needed for giving a distinct look to the painted poster. Assessment of which colours to use, after turning off the lights and turning on the UV ray torch will help a lot to get a clean and clear picture. Then under normal light, spread the paints evenly. Though they look ordinary when painting the same, we will be able to see it dazzling in the darkness.
